Did a lot of exploring in my previous years but this year has been pretty moot as far as it goes. Life got in the way, competitive sports, work, etc... I have made the transition from semi-reckless kid to overly cautious young adult. I am hankering to get back into it... and I am starting this weekend! Really excited for this sunday, going to be checking out a 6 ACRE spread of ruins (even if they are artificial ruins!) and will be posting pictures.
Anywho... Here is an old explore I did in 2011, of the Hall Summit High School. Enjoy the crappy-artsy pics!

| | | | It was really fun to check out because the building is in great shape for the most part, not much vandalism. There were still school clothes hanging in a closet in the gym. It was extremely dark in the gym during the day, some light but not much, and the locker room is pitch black. Upstairs we thought we heard others talking and got a little nervous, it was only the blinds rattling against a cracked window. Not much traffic goes by there either, I think we were probably there for at least an hour.

| | | | My pictures from here on out will be a LOT better than these (well, I do have a few old ones I can share, but not many). These were taken with my iphone BC (Before Christ, aka 3G) and my once favorite app, hipstamatic.
Now I have iphone 4s, and I use oggl (hipstamatic's much more versatile and customizable younger sibling)! Would like to get a really nice camera in the future but the costs of bills and my ponies and my impulsive "I NEED DIS TREASURE" buying kind of gets in the way.
If sunday goes all as planned, Monday morning I will have a really good post. I am stoked!

And about a "fancy camera"... It doesn't have to be that. People say my photos look good, and all I use is a cheap Cybershot DSC-W690, and lots of editing ;)
It's all in the photographer, not the price of the camera.

| | | | Great set! And I can't wait to see what you post from this weekend. I totally agree with A-Z on this one. You don't have to have a fancy camera to get good pics. It's not the camera so much. Sometimes they make it easier in darker places, but that's about it.
The main thing is enjoy the location and the experience. That's what it's all about. Thanks for the set.
