As I mentioned in the thread introducing myself, I did go inside the last time I was here but I was not the person manning the camera and my friend was so creeped out that she didn't take any pictures inside. Anyway, we were there for engagement photos, it wasn't an actual UE trip.
These photos are from March 2012. Taken by another friend. The model is yours truly, but I've obscured my face using my horrid Paint skills. I'm still trying to figure out, when is it safe to show faces in UE pictures? There weren't any no trespassing signs, as I recall, but I'm so paranoid that these pictures will be seen by the wrong people and I live in a small town.
I didn't realize, until now, just how few pictures were taken. We went several places but this was the only UE-type location.
First picture posted is of the front porch. When I visited the second time (July of this year) the porch was so overgrown that my fiance' and I could barely squeeze through to the front door.
Below is a picture of me on the back porch, near the wide open kitchen door (the door behind me led to another room in the back of the house...not sure what purpose it served). You can see that I figured out where "fill" is when I edited this one. Derp.
Not only is it wide open...the kitchen door is off its hinges and laying nearby.
Here is the only photo she took that didn't have me in it. I know these photos aren't great location DB material or anything, but they were taken by someone else for a different purpose.

I'd even imagine that in a really small town, someone could see the pic with the star over it and still probably know who you are, if they already know you.
But here's the question... how are they gonna just randomly come across the picture?
Also, it's not like you're doing vandalism or anything. You're just taking pictures of an abandoned house that don't have any no-trespassing signs. Pretty low-key on the whole.
If you were sneaking into an active military site or somewhere that might be a felony of some kind if you were caught, then ensuring your privacy can become a bigger concern.
Many of the people on UER post pictures of themselves in AMAZING locations, with their full face showing, and their pictures get picked up and used all over the 'net.
It is a cool looking house though. I like the one that person did with the IR photography, that looks badass.
Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =) |

I kinda wish some people here would put stars on their faces....
