Not everything has to be so sharp, so saturated and so contrasted (like everything I do, lol) that it jumps out and kicks you in the 'nads. To each their own, but I'm diggin' the processing. I'm not looking at it as a hot-shot camera snob, I'm looking to see if I like the photo on a personal level. What's the ISO? What's the aperture? How about the depth of field? Who fuckin' cares?
Can I tell what the subject is? Is the detail visible? Are the colors nicely done? Is the composition pleasing?
YES to all of those with the pics in the links. Who am I to judge if a photo is "good" or not? Is it pleasing to look at for me? If it's a "yeah", that's all that matters. If someone doesn't agree with my opinion, fuck 'em. MY opinion is really all I'm looking for anyway. If you like it, cool. If you don't, whatever. I'll live to cram more shitty pics down your throat tomorrow, like 'em or not.

| | | | andre is a super nice guy and a very talented photographer - he is also a pretty approachable dude so if you message him and ask about his workflow i bet he would help you out. that said - it does look like he uses topaz adjust and the NIK software as well. most all of his work that i have seen has that very soft, ethereal feel to it and for the most part i enjoy his photography very much.

Now I just wonder, do many people use such a shitload of plugins for their editing? Seems like it would take ages to process this way, plus it's pricey. Or am I totally missing out on something? All I ever use is ACR, and rarely Photoshop.
