| | | Nah bro, I never knew what it was until Soldat just chimed-in. We all know it as "the collapsing piece of shit with the wooden floors". Another wonderful factory in a neighborhood of similar abandoned factories. Isn't that neighborhood a trip? Blocks and blocks of empty shit in a shithole ghetto.

| | | The other half (since we already dropped a name ) is Taylor Lock. Ha, right? Couldn’t find much history on either side of the structure. Got talking to a guy on the street – he helped me find a way into Steel Heddle next door, but it was almost dark.

| | | Oh yeah, I know about Taylor Lock. That place was mostly wood too but in much better shape the higher you went. Still, ya gotta watch out for those black patches in front of the windows. You'll find yourself on your back two stories down going "WTF?"!

| | | Yeah, haven't taken the plunge yet, but have found myself straddling a joist :-/ While still, um, painful, better that than a broken back!

| | | I fell through floors twice so far, but never all the way. The first time was in a silk mill but the splintered floor jabbed into my legs and although I was bleeding all over the place, it kept me from falling all the way through. The second was someone put a door across a hole in a cement bakery floor and I wasn't paying attention and walked onto the door. Where there's usually a glass window, there was just rotted plywood and I went straight through up to my armpits. Both times I almost died, but I didn't drop my camera or spill my beer. Fuck it.

Well it does say "Philadelphia Pneumatic Tool Co" right on the front in the last picture here. That was the original occupant in 1902 of the lower very much collapsing building on the west side of the block.
