I sympathize with the group that wants to preserve/protect stuff but it's a losing battle. We tried that in our region and it can bite you in the ass. There will ALWAYS be that 1 guy who turns rebel and brings the wrong person there or just some general shit that will bust a place wide open. Whether they post it on facebook, flicker,etc. You can't "police" the whole internet. There are tons of people unaware of UER. Scrappers (who somehow aways find shit BEFORE us....how??) Local teens, graffiti crews and even regular ppl with a fascination for abandoned stuff. If someone from say "texas" got into one of your locations then went home and posted all his pics online saying "look what I found in (insert city here). That shit pops up in every google search! Especially if it gets tagged with "abandoned". I was hoping the argument WASN'T about graffiti'd stuff that OBVIOUSLY other "people" know about. There have been times too when you find that perfect spot and DON'T tell a soul, and someone finds it and posts it on here. In that case what can you do? And in regards to the arson, I am sure that the arsonist saw the location on uer FIRST, and not a local Latin Kings gang member, or other local graffiti artist, or any of the countless random locals that have went there, found the poe and proceed to wander around there (or the many that have been caught there because the local police train there.) That reminds me of something that happened out here. A while back we befriended 2 new explorers and brought them somewhere easy. They told us of other members they had gone exploring with (who we knew too but hadn't really explored with). Then they shocked the shit out of us by saying "yeah (membername here) brought a crowbar and pried the door off (active location here). We were flabbergasted. The 2 new members went on to make names for themselves (in a good way) so I am glad that b&e shit didn't give them the wrong idea of us as a whole.
