I was given directions to this place from another member, it turned out to be an amazing find and I am very lucky to have gotten to explore this area before demo.

Why not go as a group? I have some prior experience exploring the facility and it would be cool to get out of the house, haha.

As long as you're not a cop, that would be okay with me. ;]

Great photos. What purpose did the building serve before it was closed?

I really want this place to stay unknown, after getting the chance to visit I really got a chance to see the history of one of the most interesting places in Wisconsin. I can't wait to get to visit again. Relux if you have any other interesting places that you are willing to share please keep in touch

The only reason i haven't worried about it too much is because there are demo vehicles parked around it, and demo was supposed to begin already.

They appear to have been there for quite a while. Upon checking expiration dates on bottles in the complex people are coming quite frequently and there appears to be a group that sits in the courtyard and plays card that work for the city. I don't believe a demo will be happening anytime soon!

I don't know why people think demolition isn't coming soon. I mean, there are county workers there, equipment, fences, asbestos warnings, spray painted walls(demolition X's). What more does one need to think demolition is coming ;)

It just gave me the appearance that it wasn't a big deal. I've seen construction projects take years to commence. I'm not trying to disguise the lack of urgency to get here and enjoy it while you can, I'm just saying that the threat could be less than what we believe.

It is always best to be cautious, and I agree with you.
