Exploring Metro Wisconsin.

I've spent a lot of time exploring the vast farmland around my area, and I am rather eager to get the chance to see what Milwaukee has to offer. It is quite a commute from where I live and I was wondering if anyone lives in the area or has any places worth the trip.

Looking forward to hearing more about your explorations.

Milwaukee doesn't have a whole lot unless you like underground.. I know of a few spots i've been meaning to check out, but i haven't had the transpo/gotten around to planning a trip.
If you'd ever like to make a weekend trip sometime, we could perhaps figure something out!

You would think that Milwaukee would have a lot to offer due to it's unique history. I am from the Fox Cities and have been constantly on the lookout for anything worth the look. I know that the Alexian Brothers Novitiate is a really cool piece of Wisconsin history and if you haven't been there, I recommend going.

I also have been looking a lot in the Sherwood area at abandoned farms.

Well, there was a bit more a couple years ago, but they've been demo-happy, just like Appleton.

MKE the airport? What is security like there?

I'm wondering if Madison would have anything that is accessible!

I was using MKE as a term for the city of Milwaukee.

Madison has some things but again not too much. Milwaukee might be better.

I heard something about a brewery that was recently undergoing demolition, I believe it was called Schlitz Brewing Co.? Do you know anything about it?

They used to brew beer..
Schlitz is one of the original major Wisconsin breweries. Otherwise, nothing. Never been there. Haha.

I laughed too hard at this, MKE has subway terminals that are probably worth looking in to.

Schlitz is indeed being demolished right now. The land the brewhouse currently occupies is being converted into a park.

There may be some stuff left of Solvay, but Milwaukee has also done some demo there in the past few months.

Blah blah blah. Big drainz! Been trying to convince a certain air-cooled beetle to get drain driving up there. I would be so down for another MKE weekend-- it's been way too long.

To be honest I have no clue, I tried to make a new account and apparently I already had one? I'll probably get it changed, because it is quite possibly the worst name ever.

Thanks for the info, I'm glad the land is going to something useful. From what I hear, it will be greatly missed.
