Well I'm a little bit disgusted that I drove right by this location yesterday and somehow failed to notice it, even with all the fencing in front of it and the demo that has been started!
Must be quite recent, as Streetview doesn't even show signs of vacancy yet. If you don't mind me asking, how many different buildings did your pics come from? Successful interiors, I mean.

The interior shots that I took involved 3 of the 4 surviving houses/buildings.
I haven't been by there in awhile so I'm not sure if the City has brought down the adjacent buildings (except for the Dental place on the corner) or what's going on with them.

Ya, nothing old in the houses, although there are some antique pieces that various tenants had, and yep, it was a fire in one house. The attics of the adjacent houses were burned out and those houses sustained quite a load of water/smoke damage. The house where the fire started was demolished.
The houses are what is old: they are century homes that go back to the 1920's when this part of Hamilton was home to the rich and elite.

It's about the same. They just tore down the one house and left the rest. I'd imagine the slumlord who owns the buildings isn't willing to put any money into demolishing them.

For the 4 remaining houses there are 3 owners. The surviving houses contained mostly Filipino immigrants, except for the house on one end that was a dental office (this one sustained the least amount of damage and probably won't be demolished).
The owner of the main house where the fire started did get a demo permit but then didn't follow up on it, so the City took over. I haven't read any news stating who will be responsible for bringing down the other 3 houses - owners or the City.
