Locations - that are not torn down to the ground
< on 7/8/2013 3:37 AM >
Posted on Forum: UER Forum

Hello all, i have noticed that there are a large number of locations on here that are now bulldozed to the ground, anyone with any hints for fabulous places in Toronto to explore, seeing as we have been to Tower Automotive, Linseed Oil, Kodak, and Bowmanville already?

Thanks for the help ahead of time

Asking for handouts is frowned upon here. You'd be better off getting out and finding more on your own.

Welcome to the jungle that is UER. It is very overgrown and full of wild animals.

Showing images from the locations you have visited thus far would also help in establishing yourself.

My advice would be to hop on your bike and explore. Walking can be slow and driving you'll miss stuff easily unless you have a specific destination in mind. Don't look for just the big obvious places - there's nooks and crannies **all over the place**

Sometimes I see pics of craning and I'm like "Fuck it I'll never be that good" but that's not the point - it's the adventure and the discovery (and the sneakiness ;)

Hope that helps!

If you were new to the hobby though you might very well do the same. It takes time to build up trust and a network of people willing to aid you in your search. This is Toronto after all, not exactly rural back road territory.

gotta love the bit of hate going around, dont get your way at home with the parents so you take it out on a message board? funny. as for all those doubters then, here is a selection of my shots from the places I have managed to go to, whether they are googled places or not doesnt make or break my dream to be honest, I do it out of pure enjoyment for the forgotten places and surprises around the corner, I dont find a need to bash someone, cheers

Right, because insulting people for stating a fact about the site will make you much more of a man.

Also, excellent photos by the way, love the attention to detail.

Welcome to UER. Please ignore the rude assholes who seem to think they are "all that" and quickly forget that they were also once new explorers. They're not worth your time.

Try hooking up with some locals who aren't assholes (there are lots, trust me) and find a neat place to explore together. I find that people are usually much more open in person.

Good luck,

I think you should be more supportive of a new member. He, like myself is looking for new locations to explore. You were all new at some point, don't act like a grumpy old man and think negatively
