There is salvation in the decayed...
| | | She's a Brick House (46 pics) < on 7/5/2013 6:09 PM >
| | | Another part of July 4th's festivities! I was with pressingleap, flyingwhale, Hootie, and another member (don't know if she is a member or not). We had an amazing day, but would have loved to get inside this place much earlier. Apparently the demolition workers of this town don't celebrate July 4th, and decided to work an entire day... We only managed to explore two of the buildings and climb the smokestack before sunset. There are still six more buildings to get into! Look forward to returning soon. 1.

| | | It's a mill, in the south... Also there was a crate that had a stencil on it, that if you do two seconds of research you'll find out. Not bein mean, but sometimes being observant and doin that lil bit of research is more rewarding than just being given an answer outright.

agreed. Part of of the fun is finding the little clues that a lot of people leave in photos/names.

| | | Nice shots. Sad, though. Looks like it's coming down faster and faster all the time. Shame about that building next to the smokestacks--that was possibly my favorite part of the whole place.

| | | The first time this place was posted, I realized how much I enjoy looking at my own playground through someone else lens. It is amazing how much can be revealed with a change of perspective. Love these threads

You may be saying that in jest, but I have always been enamored by those stacks, even when they were active and not at all pc. Since I have been of age, I've lived in a spot where I can see them from my home.

It really is. We only managed to explore two of the eight buildings that remained. Just imagine if the entire place was still intact, it would take a week to fully explore everything.
