Abandoned House Near Corvallis, OR

Hello, I am new to UE. My friend and I recently started exploring around Corvallis, Oregon.

I want to share some photos of what we think is an abandoned pump house. They were shot on my friends iphone at night, so I apologize for the low resolution. I want to get a nicer camera soon.
We explored it once before, but only took a few photos. Last night we returned and took many more.

The place is in shambles. Looks abandoned for a while. Bats have taken refuge in the ceiling.

The entrance:

This was in another room with the bats. One came very close to my face.

Me

An old bathroom was found connected to this room

An old circuit breaker perhaps?

We still don't know what this is. It was nearby the abandoned house. That's my friend.

What went in these slots?

Now here's where it get's interesting. When we first found this place, a week ago, we actually took this picture of the chair near the thing in the picture above:

Approximately one week later when we returned, we found it here, in the middle of the field nearby.

Someone had been there since we were there.

It was an exciting, eerie experience.

I look forward to the adventures ahead. Thanks for opportunity to join your community.

Looks like a boiler room to me—probably part of a once larger complex of buildings.

Anyway, happy exploring in The Valley. There are a few things floating around here.

Thanks! Any tips on where we might try looking for more fun places to explore?

That's a fire tube boiler. Those slots are actually pipes that run from both sides, and the fire and exhaust from the heat source runs through them to heat up the water/steam. The water is in the the case around the tubes.Usually the doors are closed when it is running. That particular boiler is a three pass fire tube boiler.

Or it could have been the heat source for a greenhouse operation, considering where the OP said it was located.
