No Country for Old Dogs

Paid a visit to an abandoned kennel this morning, that I had found a while back.

There is a house directly behind it, that may have belonged to the owners. Judging from the furniture/stuff left over, looks like it may have been empty from around the late 80's?

Sorry for the crappy pics. I didn't realize until I got there, that my tripod wasn't still in my car. This is also why I didn't venture upstairs or further into the house (it was really dark, so taking pics was almost pointless).

Hope you enjoy.

Haha, thanks. For some reason, it just seemed to fit.

I just wish I hadn't forgotten my tripod

How old is that technique? There is the Gore/Liberman sticker which dates it at 2000.

Funny, you can tell it's definitely older, as they had a sign regarding checks (people still used them).

If you ever have a trip to the Northern VA area, I'd be happy to take you out to it.

...well, it is 2013. So, it's sufficient to say it has got to be at least 10 years. I started in vet medicine around 10 years ago, too. They had stopped doing flea dipping before that because it's so harmful. ...and dude, if I am ever there...I'm totally hitting you up for this place!

Thanks for helping date/confirm the date. I was a little disappointed, I thought they may have been a bit more equipment or something left in there...still kinda neat.

thanks buddy. I wish I had my tripod with me, could have turned out better, and I would have went into the house/main floor.

Nice dude.
Drove past this on Weds and pondered poking around.
If you're out this far, you're 20 mins from my house.

on 50? It's definitely worth a quick trip to poke around. I didn't get around to going up the ladder into the attic. I also want to poke around in that house behind it again, with my tripod and a better flashlight.

I'll let you know next time I'm out that way. I think I've spotted a few other houses out that way. And let me know if you're interested in checking this out - I'll go again.
