Asbestos Plant: The Blight of a small town

Video of our adventure in a highly toxic asbestos plant which is in ruins. Amazing location! Very photogenic and also has some very creepy folklore. Closed in 1971 due to high levels of Asbestos, the decaying building continues to plague the surrounding area. There are also rumors of taboo rituals being practiced deep in the underground of the factory.

What you read on the wall are lyrics.

"Mass murder makes me happy, dead bodies make me happy, say what you will of me, I'll always have Juggalo family" Lol.

Well done though! Wonder why this section of UER is so dead. There's some good stuff being completely unnoticed.

Cause people generally lack the attention span to watch entire videos.

The jerky camera movement made me feel like puking about a third of the way through. Just a tip: avoid "spotlighting" with your camera. You have eyes. Use them to see and compose a shot before you take it. Make your footage smoother by moving slower. Perhaps even invest in some stabilization gear.

I found that posting my flicks in the regional section they were filmed in produced more feedback/discussion/critique than here.

Yeah I did notice the rather horrible technique while shooting after I edited. I do appreciate the criticism. Should be posting some even better videos soon.

That's a +1

Even in the Photography section or on other boards people tend to glance over videos more often than not.

A little tip though. [youtube = VeGfl9cK5Mw] and get rid of the spaces in between "youtube", "=" and the code and you can post your video right on the wall like this:

Just watched most of it... but like Eggs said, the camera shake really turned me off to it.

Watch some other videos on the video section to get some ideas, but stabilization is the biggest thing. Not many people will watch it if it is just a few guys walking through an abandoned place holding a camera. Get artistic! And work on making your shots more fluid.

The structure seemed pretty good at first though and drew me in, but after a while I couldn't take the camera shake.

Also, if you will be exploring this place often, I recommend getting yourself a p100 respirator... those surgical masks do not protect against asbestos!

Thanks guys, I really do appreciate the feedback. Gotta start somewhere! When I explore a place for the first time I think I get so drawn in that I forget I'm trying to make a movie haha. Anyways keep checking back, I should be posting some more improved videos very soon.
