Getting back in the game

It's been a while since I busted the camera out and climbed something, so a couple weeks ago I decided to change that. I also picked up a new lens recently (a Sigma 10-20mm) so I figured I would take it for a spin. I scouted out some nice tall vantage points and set out to climb.

My timing on this night was fairly poor. When I walked out of Union Station I was mobbed by thousands of Taylor Swift fans going in the opposite direction. The hundreds of cars trying to leave the ACC coupled with some poorly placed police cruisers made my planned entry points impossible, so I had to do a bit of improvising. But I made it in and began my climb.

FYI the 10-20 is an awesome lens you are going to love it. I have had the 4-5.6 for a while and it's super great.

Also nice set, looks like you had a great night.

Yeah I got it maybe 4 weeks ago and it's a great lens for the price.

Sorry for the gear related question ...

I am also eyeing the Nikon 10-24 but the price is making me really think hard.

Any noticeable difference between the Sigma 10-20 and the Nikon 10-24?

I know I can read all the reviews and get all the technical stuff but I am looking for real practical comments by people who actually use it in the field and not from gear wankers ... LOL ...

Thanks in advance.

From what I have seen, love the renditions of the Sigma you are using ...

How's the distortion? How much did you have to correct it?
