Popping the hood (should) show a flathead 6. it also usually came with a "gyromatic" (their name) transmission. Long before volkswagen brought out their hybrid automatic, dodge had them beat. You "shift" it via clutching into (I believe, been a while) second gear, then it "takes over" and becomes a automatic. If there is any interest, i'll get some photos.
