|  | | | Just wondering if anyone has been here real recently? I read somewhere that it's being developed into Tranquille on the lake....but I have also hear otherwise. Really want to check this place out. Just nice to know before i go out of my way on a road tip to find nothing left.

I live on Vancouver island so quite far for me, figured since i will be up in the area worth a look. | | | | Last time I was up there it was still in the process but nothing had really been happening other than that they had added security - there was motion detectors in some areas, and there was a security guard on site with pretty good positioning to see most approaches.
Lotta money to redevelop that property, I'm sure the economic downturn changed or slowed plans down.

| | | | I was up there a couple months ago , you have to be pretty sneaky! All the buildings are boarded really tight except the big one with the rubble in the back. Found out they are trying to develop it into student housing.They do tours on saturdays too.
