| | | My family and I are staying in Pigeon Forge for the weekend. While driving to our cabin, we noticed a large field west of Henderson Chapel, where Henderson Road runs into River Divide Road and Sharp Hollow Road. I wouldn't have though this unusual, except that there is a road leading into the field that is three lanes, with two marked for entry and one for exit. Any ideas what this might have been? Or was it a planned development that never materialized?

| | | I was on an iPad, which doesn't play well with Google Maps. This is centered on the location: http://goo.gl/maps/SvZev From this map, I would think it was just a farm, but the entrance is unusual: http://goo.gl/maps/KktNu The picture isn't clear, but there are two lanes marked for people to enter with arrows, and one marked as an exit. It made me think there may have been something here once - or something planned to be here once.

| | | since there is a new development very close, my guess is they had intentions to build here but plans change or something after they built the road.
