Civil, as you've seen, no one on UER is gonna give you a bunch of handouts and locations without knowing you. Sorry, it's just the way it works on UER. I typed "abandoned Maryland" into Google and the first result had a bunch of places to explore, real names and everything.

Fairfax sucks for exploring anyway, at least above ground

And if you search Flickr you can find places too. If you look closely enough, there can be clues in photos and post titles. I spent the last two weeks looking for the town of a location because I knew I couldn't ask.

Thats why you need to go meet people and start friendships! Cause usually if a friend asks where something is, i dont hesitate to help them out.

Or ...
Pay me $70/hour for a tour.
No look, ISO will offer you the same tour for $65, but take heed ...
My tours are more thorough and in-depth.

Will you be my friend?

I am currently in the process of making friends. I am part of a small group now out of DC... I was initiated this past weekend because I helped someone else get into a location she'd been wanting to get into. I also know asking for handouts is a no-no.

Today I came across what appears to be an abandoned industrial building in Vienna, VA. Had no time to stop and check it out. Had an outpatient operation near that site today and am kind of out of it.

Though I have my doubts, despite being right next door, I sent you a PM because I am not so sure it was abandoned now or if it just looked that way. It is located sort of off the main road in such a way it is hidden.

Nope.
Not abandoned.
There's an abandoned, boarded up doctor's office out front of the TJ Maxx plaza on 7 about 1/4 mile away.
Temporarily abandoned (read, soon to be demo'd) commercial is all you will find in Fairfax.

You'll find some stuff in DC and the outlying ares of NoVa, and plenty in Maryland. Like ISO said, find some people local to the area on Flickr and stalk their photos. You should find some clues that'll lead you to locations.

Hey DevilC

Last Tuesday I was up at the place in Vienna I mentioned last month. This time I took care to examine the place I mentioned. Parking lot empty and plywood on the door. It probably is not that interesting inside anyway, but it is indeed closed though will face some kind of refurb I am certain. You are correct about $Vienna$.

Also, I know of a long closed restaurant in Fairfax city. I had a chance to walk in it a few weeks ago but it was completely empty, save for some color scheme of the former occupant. The property company was doing repairs to possibly lease it is what I was told.
