Got hurt at school?

Old High School - To my disappointment the main structure had been demolished and this is all that remained.

Hospital - After all I read online about this place, the only warnings I actually believe about this place is that it contains asbestos. It may have had dogs, and other businesses at one time, but no longer. The only other thing I noticed was someone with a U-Haul behind the place. Either they were stealing shiz, or they are cleaning it out for demo. I plan on going back in the near future, and entering this time if anyone wants to join me. With respirators of course.

There was a dog in the hospital at one time. A security company actually worked out of the front part of the building and let their Shepherd roam through part of the old building. There was dog shit in there long after they left.

If there was a U-Haul in the back lot, someone was scrapping.
There are no plans to tear it down because of the asbestos. The city council has talked about it recently, but nothing will come of it because it costs money they don't want to spend.

At this point, I'd be more worried about mold than asbestos.

Yeah I read about the dog and the security company. Is it possible to get approval to enter, that you are aware of?

Cool shots, I don't think 10 pictures is "Pic Heavy" though.

Smartass, haha. I originally had more, but I decided against posting them. Just more of the same shots, different angles.

Ahhh yes this hospital. I was almost killed by bats, and nearly given a heart attack at this place. (That story is in the creepiest things thread) A depressing amount of scrapping has gone on in there and it is pretty much bare, but it has a few cool spots in it. There is an absurd amount of mold, and don't go after a rain because the floors are completely covered in this horrible muck. It's worth checking out if you are nearby, but it is not somewhere I would be willing to drive all the way up to again.

My sincerest apologies for any photography sins that I may commit, but you must understand that I have no idea what I'm doing.

The current owner's a dick. He was quoted in an article in the local paper saying he would prosecute anyone caught trespassing. A couple people have asked, including one of those "ghost hunter" tv shows. He's turned everyone away.
Shortly after that the scrapping started and ruined the place. I have some very old photos of what it used to look like here:

Breaks my heart to see it looking like crap.
The city is currently on the owner's ass to do something with the place (like knock it down), but it appears he doesn't have the money. He tried to "donate" it to the local college, which has a building just behind the hospital, but the city pretty much told him "lol, nope", as it was just a poorly thought out plan to get out of being responsible for the property.

This.
She's old and used up. There might actually be something interesting left in the basement though, last time I went 2 years back I had to use waders to get in down there, but it was relatively the same, save for all the water.

never_sleep thank you for sharing your old pictures of the place. It's a shame it won't look that pristine when I make it in there.

Wow it is amazing to see how it used to look. There were some old papers in the basement from the 50's and 60's but that was about it.

My sincerest apologies for any photography sins that I may commit, but you must understand that I have no idea what I'm doing.

They were in rough shape but they were above the water either on a shelf or in a crate I can't really remember. The ones that I saw weren't terribly interesting just doctors orders for the technicians.

When did you make it there last, and what condition were the other buildings in? You have any pictures? I appreciate anything you can tell me.

The last time I went was a couple of months ago. It was in January or February I really can't remember though. The buildings were fine structure wise, but the whole place had been scrapped to hell. In some places the walls were stripped all the way down to the bare cinder blocks. I went after it had rained and there was a disgusting muck that covered all of the floors. It really wasn't that great to be honest, all the neat medical equipment that I was hoping to find was gone. It is basically just a tone of bare rooms, and bare hallways. One of the sub buildings is cool because it has a freaking massive furnace thing in it. That is all I can tell you and I do not have any pictures, sorry.
