Last house we got to. This one is similar in style to the Frisco house, yet seems to be a bit more dilapidated. Note the heroic center post holding up the porch. Needless to say that wasn't the POE. Exterior image taken from previous shot because I forgot to take one yet again.

Only no trespassing sign on the property.

This room was full of mailboxes for some reason.

What is this thing?

Parting shot, incl. my mode of transport.

Oh! Almost forgot. Found this on the way home. Looks like this place might be getting a new addition soon.

I believe that to be the lid to an ink pen necklace from the 80's. A must have fashion accessory that is really about overdue for its big comeback...

Sweet! Makes you wonder why someone would go through the expense of moving these houses, do they actually sell again?

At least a couple have and they've been in business for years. Thanks for all the compliments!

I still want to know why two adjoining rooms would be connected by a horizontal shaft over a closet (seriously)...

Think of it like a fort. Not a military fort, the kind that children of crackheads build, and then go on to become people who build moveable houses.

Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =)

Lol!
I want one. Better (and more secret) than a blanket-fort.

Went back again today. First time I've been here when the weather was nice. As promised here's the exterior shot of the house with the princess room:

First house of the day, abandoned around 2006 according to the calender. Notable due to the somewhat uneven decay, especially comparing the kitchen to the living area. Also had an old Fisher TV, not vandalized!

House #2 was a short explore, partly because half the house was blocked off, and partly because it was a nasty and dangerous place to be. Rat shit, wet insulation, and hidden nails all over the place. Friend I was with even got a nail through his shoe because it was buried in insulation. We nope'd out of there pretty quickly afterwards.

House #3 was either part of another house, or had an outdoor porch of some sort based on the wood paneling and that door. Had a nice big hole in the floor where a fireplace would go, as well as some insane paint peel on the doors. Last lived in circa 2003 if the copyright date on the paint catalog is too be believed. Would have a kitchen shot but it ended up blurry as hell. :/

What is this thing? It had some sort of fan on it, but that's all I know.

House #4 seems to be one of the older homes on the property, based on the size and architecture employed. Had an interesting encounter with a dove that flew out of the roof and started slamming itself into the window you see pictured, shortly after we walked in. Tried to scare it out another window that we had opened but it either wouldn't move or kept hurting itself, so we just left it alone after that.

House #5 was pretty ragged on the inside, with the floor sagging and rotting through in some areas. Happened to hold another interesting vintage item: a 40s era Thermolaire heater.

Oh, forgot this picture of a Vulture that seems to be nesting on one of the houses.

It's an in-wall furnace, though you don't usually see fans on that type.

So weird how Sex Dragon keeps reappearing. I was so confused when my Beautiful Disaster entry disappeared, then I saw the message from Wings2Fly letting me know they found it in its current location.

I need to get back out there now that I have a real camera

There should be new stuff there now. A two story house was being broken up and put on trailers just down the road last time I was there.
