Holy ship, Batman.

I think for the same experience without all the effort you could just roll around naked in a scrap yard.

The JR facility is probably a safer explore than the A.M. (50 years of sitting in the Chesapeake, some of it spent as a target just does not sound like a good place to be -- especially given how remote it is, if something bad does happen), and while do-able, it's probably not the smartest choice of explores.

looks like a real challenge sure would be cool to be the first wouldn't it?

The nightmare corpse-city of R'lyeh…was built in measureless eons behind history by the vast, loathsome shapes that seeped down from the dark stars. There lay great Cthulhu and his hordes, hidden in green slimy vaults.

I loved looking at these when I was getting my pilot's license over at Williamsburg. Never even occurred to me to be crazy enough to get inside

Check out this blog for some people who went inside one of the National Defense Reserve Fleets (not sure which): http://scotthaefne...fleet-ghost-ships/

My motto is "if you don't do it, someone else will". My dad gave me one of the ship's bells from the USS Wisconsin when it was in dry dock many years ago in PA. "If I didn't take it, someone else would have". Yeah, the motherfucking battleship Wisconsin.

There is UXO on-board that one.
I'd advise you to avoid it.
