| | | Posted by Se7eN having been there i failed to see any large holes in the silo's through which you could fall. you are either exceptionally tiny, or incredibly unlucky. that being said i had never thought about siphoning it out, this is now what will proceed to happen. lets all hope it's not filled with gravel. that's way more shoveling than i want to do. once I get the internet back up at my place I'll post my photos from the various buildings. -Se7eN

That's like when I tell people that I'm a professional mine explorer and they proceed to tell me how dangerous mines are, and the hazards of falling rock and bad air and uxo. At that point I ask them how many mines THEY have actually been in, and they usually say none, and I rattle off the number I've been in, and then they shut up. No one ever tells a race car driver that what he's doing is dangerous; but everyone wants to tell us that what we're doing is dangerous. NO SHIT ITS DANGEROUS, WHY THE HELL DO YOU THINK SOME OF US ENJOY IT SO MUCH???? geez.
Anyone that you actually HAVE to explain it to, you can't protect them from themsleves anyway.
DONT FORGET FOLKS, UE CAN BE DANGEROUS!
Give a person a match and they'll be warm for a minute, but light them on fire and they'll be warm for the rest of their life. =) |

| | | Posted by Crypton Flash photography makes it look strange. I would rather let it sit for 30" or just light paint it.

Yeah, but didn't have the tripod with me that day. I would agree....

| | | What if by NOT draining it, a kid falls in and drowns? Totally your fault.

The water saved my life. I was trying to siphon the water out myself when I fell in lol. Decided after my experience I couldn't stand the guilt if some kid got hurt. I'm not advising against it just letting you know why I decided not to do it like I said it was a personal choice. Do whatever you feel is right. If u do start a siphon do try to direct the water into the ditch on the side of the road though.. There are peoples houses downhill from the site. -Tom [last edit 3/3/2013 8:42 AM by TomUE - edited 1 times]

How do you fall in WHILE siphoning?? I'm just wondering. Were you drunk? It's not like you didn't know where you were siphoning from.

IDK I just took a misstep I misjudged the size of the hole so when I went to step across it I actually stepped into it. All I'm saying is maybe cover the open holes with plywood or something and direct the water by idk caulking a 2x4 to the road or something to direct the water. Don't have to bite my head off I'm just trying to make some suggestions.
