Is it normal that my password is stored in claer in my cookie file ? I consider that really dangerous. Even for a single session. But maybe I never noticed and that all forums do the same.

My two (euro ;))cents.

If someone is able to read your cookies, it means one of several things:

1. They have access to your internet data (via network sniffer or whatever)

This means they can see pretty much every site you visit, every unencrypted email you receive, every post you make, etc. Your forum password is probably the least important thing.

2. They have access to your computer, either directly or via some sort of trojan

In this case, probably the last thing you have to worry about is forum passwords. They're on your computer -- they can already do whatever they want.

So, I don't see any reason to worry. If someone has the ability to see your password, you've got more serious things to worry about.

huskies - such fluff.
