Southern Colorado - Anyone want to explore, something?

Hello all!

Been out of the major exploration game way too long. And I crave some new explores. I have seen most anything I can think of locally but I would love to explore with someone, pretty much anywhere.

Given my awesome Pueblo location their is not much locally that people have not burned down, but some stuff nearby. Or any ideas you may have..

Lets see if anyone has a desire..I am here. Camera in hand.

Well, I'd surely like to go inside these places, but the whole town is crawling with security cameras and vehicles...

Hoping this isn't too lame a question to ask, is Steel'ebration in August worth going to?

CF&I I have gotten to for some work, and some side explores. but not much as they are crawling with security.

That second pic what is it? Actually that second pic is the tunnel isnt it? I may be able to hook that up again. They did a public tour of it last year. But I can get a private one

I currently have access to the old CF&I archives/admin building. Legally...its an amazing place. Not open to public.

The tunnel under the interstate is cool too, saw it once. Nothing too amazing though.

also never heard of steelabration?

my only concern with mines is air quality. Im usually not concerned with much but bad air is no good...

It does sound quite fun. And may be worth a trip. Anything else worth seeing around there?

Steel'ebration is an annual public tour of the CF&I tunnels. Private would be better! I don't care for guided tours (but it beats not getting in at all).
Yes, the second photo is the tunnel entrance (same as your #4 & 10 shots).

well as you saw the tunnel is what it is. All concrete, nothing amazing. The only cool stuff was in my photos. I would visit as it is still cool, and the museum itself has lots of great cfi related stuff.

there's mostly mines and old mills in that area. also abandoned buildings and such. I like old mines so there's a lot to explore in that area...
