Well dang. Me and some others went to this site about a week ago and got a lot of pictures of the place. I was hoping to post them along with an introduction as my first thread. I was in the process of getting the pictures down to the 100k limit when my hard drive went bust. Glad to see that others are exploring the place though, cause it is pretty damn awesome. Anyways, mind if I post a few of those pictures to this thread when my computer gets fixed?

Great looking set btw.

My sincerest apologies for any photography sins that I may commit, but you must understand that I have no idea what I'm doing.

Hi and welcome to UER! You can definitely post some of your pix on this thread. (fyi, if you use Flickr or another image hosting site you won't have to resize and they'll look much better)

I've had some good times here. I was in a confined maintenance tunnel inside and almost attacked by a possum, another time I got the worst poison oak from one of the trailers out back. I want to go check it out again now that I have a dslr. I'm still learning. I would also like to tour the (other property).

Looks like a cool place!
Usually I don't care for graffiti too much, but that jelly fish is kind of adorable.

7. Anyone know what these boxes are or what they were used for?

8. This chute started on the sixth floor and went down to the basement. At the bottom, we found a couple of styrofoam sleds, and it looked like someone had ridden them all the way down the chute.

Ha! We talked about it. HWH was into it, but I've already got an ankle full of screws and steel plates, so I bailed.

Thanks! And yeah, we passed, but it looked fun. And fast. Surely others on the boards have braved the chute? Post some pix?

Thanks! 1 and 2 (and some of the other shots on Flickr) are actually from an earlier trip and not the one you were in on, but since I'd never gotten around to editing those shots, I just lumped them all together and picked my favorites from the two visits.
