An Oldie, but a Goodie

First of all, new to the forum and UrbEx in general.

Now that's out of the way. Living downtown and seeing many of the shuttered old buildings and learning some of their histories has piqued my curiosity. Since I live about 5 mins from the below location, I thought I would check it out. The pictures are from this past Spring, but it doesn't seem much has changed since. I was aiming to go back in the past couple of months, but as was mentioned in another thread, there was a film crew camped out... and they were there for 1-2 months.

There was a large thunderstorm the night before causing some of the rooms to flood. Was difficult to navigate at times, but created a neat effect for some of the shots. I also had some PS fun with several of the photos.

Thank you both for the compliment. I know it's well documented, but it is definitely a neat location and fun to check out. I think the history of the building lends to the neat factor.

Welcome Abert, it may be a well documented location but it is always refreshing to see a new perspective on an old location. History on this place is rather interesting for folks inclined to do the research. In fact Revolution gathered some very good historical info at one point on the old rail car left there. I may have to go back into some old threads to dig it up however. Many movies are currently using this location to shoot in as well. Always fun to get a sneak peak if your quick. Welcome aboard and hope to meet up soon.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll have to see if I can 't find the history of the train car you mentioned. I am curious why it's there. I've read a little on the history of the building, but would like to dig up more. May have to hit up the GSU library.
