like bos2277 said it was a pretty good location and we are going back this sunday depending on the weather... were gonna try to go to the other half of the school and the large depot building. Enjoy the pictures from my point of view.

Also do any of you guys know more about what is... or was at rockliffe to go check out?

Is the driving range & hut still there? It was to the north-west of the property. This is a great time of year to go, don't have to worry about all the bees and wasps

Sad times. Construction / Demo crew must have taken it down.

I'm thinking they might up the surveillance for a bit after the fire, which seems pretty suspicious in nature?

Is the depot worth the trip? I'm a teacher with a love of abandoned schools

the school was really the highlight, the depot kinda small, it would be interesting to go in the locked warehouse inside but it was locked by a bike lock, there is also a way onto the roof but we didnt have the means to get up there

Considering that it wasn't connected to any power, and it's been wetter than an otter's pocket in Ottawa lately, I'm doubting this was accidental. They'll either up the security or finish the demo of the property.

The Rockcliffe community will likely be up in arms about the situation now, more than ever, and push for demo to continue. Now that there are no longer any holds on who rightfully owns the property, demo should continue without a hitch.

Knowing that the two kids that took these recent photos are known vandals and thieves (proof posted by themselves) I wouldn't put it past them to set the building on fire...

The depot is not worth the trip to Ottawa. Even if you're in Ottawa, the depot isn't worth checking out, it's just a small inaccessible warehouse guarded by bee hives and rubble...and now probably more security. There are more interesting buildings elsewhere in Ottawa if you're still going to make the trip.
