Homemade trailer in Denton, TX

Recently moved to Denton to attend school and was riding on the bike path by my apartments and saw this abandoned structure so I decided to take a look inside.(sorry for low quality only had cellphone)

After climbing through the bushes I was excited, this being the first time 'urban exploring', to see it filled with stuff and obviously not occupied.

The floor was covered with what looked like insulation or something.

Dinner anyone?

How about a game of Chinese checkers?

Decided to check the date on a newspaper

Creepy horse

Doorway to Heaven?

The train tracks right beside the trailer

Overall my first Urban Exploring adventure was great and I look forward to checking out other larger spots in the area. Hopefully I can make it to a meetup or go exploring with other members in the area.

This is my first post so let me know if the layout needs to be corrected to meet additional guidelines, thanks!

Thanks! Yeah the spot wasn't the best but not bad for just stumbling into it unintentionally. If i do recall reading a thread on here long b4 making this account a person said if you are looking for places to explore just follow train tracks My dream adventure would be in a large hospital/hotel. Or the SSC but i know that is out of my league as I am a noob. I will be exploring some locations in Dallas hopefully this weekend.

I used to live in Denton, and I would commute to Dallas on the A-Train every day to work and I'd see that thing and occasionally muse about going and poking around in it. Very cool! Glad to see someone did, and glad to see it's a lot more interesting than I thought.

And welcome! You should go check up on Kirby's Mansion...

I have been looking at the locations in the area on the DB here and reading alot of your post about places in the area. Kirby's Mansion and The Stoner House are on my list, possibly the Fairhaven Retirement Home if I can find a friend that wants to go James Bond mode with me and sneak in. Will try to get pics of the spots as I explore more to post here!

dont be scared, things like that dont stay in one area for long. Just make sure you dont go alone and be real carful walking through different rooms {ninja skills!}.

You can run into crazy sh!t in any location you go to. Dont let a scary story about a place scare you away form it, just be smart when exploring them.

For the most part this is great advice. But, still, you should stay away from Fairhaven. Not because of what happened to me there, but because I know for a fact because of my incident there the place is totally locked down, motion sensors, cameras, and a live in guard, and the last time I went by there was about three weeks ago. Denton PD watches the place very closely and they won't be happy to see more people trying to get in.

Oh and incidentally that is fiberglass insulation on the floor. It was in the ceiling but age and humidity made it fall. You'll see a lot of that.

Welcome and great set. My first post on here comprised of cell phone pix, too. I also lived in Denton for a time--in fact, I was living there during the date listed on that newspaper you photographed. Once you start poking around a bit, and get to know the town, I think you'll find a world of exploration opportunities there.

Everyone has secrets. It's just a matter of finding out what they are.

Very cool. I ride along the Katy Trail at least once a month or so for fun, but I don't think I've ever seen this shed.

Anyway, I'm a bit of an explorer noob myself, but I would LOVE to do more stuff around here. You should let me know if you plan on exploring somewhere, I'll probably want to come along.
