Finally got in Fenton...it sucks...wouldn't expect anything less from this place.

1. Humidity decided to make my lens a soft-focus, which I used to take a shot of DeadPineview.

No it sucked, and I knew it would, it just annoyed me how sealed it was and it was pretty much the only thing I hadn't been in. The basement is ok but the rest sucks.

Fenton, is that the name of the building?

it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.

Fenton is Ramps. Newer 3-story is Tapella. The dorms are actually called L-shape which I didn't find out until this trip but that made me kinda happy. Clock tower is admin, the gym is Standish Hall, and the now active buildings were "nursery". That's it for named buildings besides Pineview which is named on the building and a few other ____view buildings which I have seen references to but have yet to find out which they are, and the hospital which is Charles Colton building but is just listed as "Hosp" on my map.

There's more to see here than maybe anyplace really left in the state. Numerous buildings, miles of tunnels, rooftops. I could go on...rec center, hospital, cafeteria, powerplant...

...but it's FILTHY, downright desacrated by vandals, scrapped, full of stupid kids on a regular basis, and perpetually on fire in areas. It's a blast...but in the type of way that I like to go to parties but not live there. This is not prime real estate.

Yeah I can easily spend like an 8 hour day here (which I have 2 of my 7 or so trips), complaining about it the whole time of course, but I still always have fun. It does suck as far as interestingness of buildings and whatnot go, but it has it's charm and its a fun place to hang out.

Fortunately there's alot of goodies buried, too. If you get tired of wandering you can just stop to dredge through thousands of files.

My first trip yielded old photos of nearby hospitals, documents about patient behavior [one stood out where the child hit himself repeatedly because he didn't want to brush his teeth], and for some reason a stairwell was full of enormous blueprints for a nearby highway system.

That dorm used to have some blueprints that definitely shouldn't have been left there, but on this last trip they were gone. Hopefully they're just on someone's wall or something.

id only imagine this place is easily accessible from what ive read about partys scrappers and vandals which does suck because the place looks like it would be an awesome place to check out but i will say this site kind of makes me weary because almost everyone ive seen post about it says it sucks

You will come to a place where the streets are not marked.
Some windows are lighted. But mostly they're darked.
A place you could sprain both your elbow and chin! Do you dare to stay out? Do you dare to go in? How much can you lose? How much can you win?

don't read into that until you go. as me and weirdling said its a FUN place and there is so much to do and see that you can easily do full days here. part of what annoys me about it is that it gets progressively worse with each trip. something cool might be in fact one time and its completely fucked the next. but that's part of the charm I think. I don't know....if you've never been just ignore the hate and check it out....you will have fun and spend a long day.... its just when you start going a lot you understand why people hate it so much, and you'll start to yourself. but you never won't have fun, there is just too much to do here.
