Looks like this happened a few moons ago. Have you considered returning, with a shovel?

Such a shame... I had ventured to this from the river while kayaking down it one day.

The old home of the fire lounge...(something like that)?

I didn't know it burned down. Seems like a lot of good locations are getting torched lately :0

The Fire Dance Lounge is still there. Only the hotel rooms burnt down. Have you been there before it was abandoned? Or did you just see the fire dance logo after it was abandoned?

Google has yielded some interesting information.

It seems the fellow behind the company who owns this property also owns (or is among the owners, through his holding firm) the Eden Lake property (aka: everyone's favourite burned down ski lodge). Jack Purdy.

Google is full of court documents wherein, it sounds like, he is having trouble obtaining financing for his horrible business sense and is fighting to keep his properties from being repossessed. The problem is: he buys closed or failing businesses (then closes them), dumps a fortune into renovating the properties, then randomly stops all work, leaving his investments to rot. Sound familiar?

Here's some. Google is full of this shit if you're weird enough to look ( like me).

I also found quite a few claims about charges filed against him and his business, which raises the very important question: will we see any more of Jack Purdy's properties burn down over the next while??

Hmm seems like this Purdy character is a good a source for us. But intentionally closing a business is a dick move.

I'm kind of wondering if he has any other closed properties that I'm not aware of. Good places to explore because we know for a fact he doesn't give a shit about them.

Sounds like Bamfield, BC has a lot of good locations.
