Much like we do in other aspects of life, we put the pieces of the puzzle together, and a story emerges. Often, we are equipped with only a fraction of the pieces of any given story, and all of these pieces are subject to our own personal interpretation. Our minds wander and attempt to fill in the blanks with the most seemingly rational conclusions, naturally connecting dots with this filler info that is often based again on our own personal memories and experiences. Due to this, truth often becomes lost in our interpretations. Our reality is only as we perceive it, not as it actually is. This is why a room full of people can witness the same event, yet perceive it differently, and each leave with their own story, slightly or even vastly differing from the person beside them.

This is the story my imagination told me as I interpreted the pieces of the puzzle left behind at the Fowler Family Farmhouse...

Wow Jerm.....much like you felt about the Cat Lady house...I would LOVE to spend a good two full hours in this house just taking in all the small details and pieces of life that remain.

Stellar find!

Anytime bro. I didn't have time to check out the giant property filled with massive barns and outbuildings on this day, as we were heading far north. Let me know when and I'm game for a revisit. Lots more to see poking around inside as well.

See you tomorrow dude, looking forward to it.

Awesome find and awesome blog as always. The place isnt terribly ransacked, so it could have been family searching for documents/will/valuables after the mr or mrs passed. I suppose it could be more selective treasure hunters or antique thieves. Only a previous visit would tell you what was really missing. I'd say it certainly wasnt kids or the booze would be gone and the place would have been trashed.

looking forward to your next find

Yeah, I doubt it was kids because it wasn't vandalized, just ransacked. And I have a feeling most of the booze was taken, only a handful of bottles remain. And thank you, I'm looking forward to my next find as well.

I know it has been said before but I have to as well, you have a gift of presenting your shots in a story like approach. The blog post was amazing and the shots of the old fam pics in your hands - icing on the cake!

"This house isn't abandoned. It is still in the family and is checked on regularly. You'd be best off not being around when Max shows up, Max is the German Shephard that accompanies Nancy."

Yeah they seem to have found the blog in record time, unless maybe they had Google keywords setup. Just to be safe, one could bring dog biscuits and maybe a country crochet book to kill both birds with one stone.
