Places I explored while in Cleveland on vacation this year < on 8/14/2012 6:10 AM >
These aren't your grandma's vacation photos, unless she was into UE too. Though given the rush I was in, your grandma might have been able to take better photos...
I already posted pictures of my visit to the "telescope factory" in another thread, but I also checked out two other locations, plus I finally uploaded my visit to the remains of the Puritas Springs Park Cyclone roller coaster that my son and I checked out in July of 2010. Sadly, due to everything else going on while I was on vacation, I only had three hours to check out three sites that I had scouted the previous year, including driving times to the site, driving from site to site, and then back to my parents house where I say when in Cleveland. So, these pictures were a bit rushed, but I still got some good exploring in, even if the pictures don't do the exploring justice.
Here are a few pics, check out my Flickr pages for more.
Ideally I'd like to reshoot the church and The Cyclone one day, but I have to balance out exploring and photography given I'm only in Cleveland two weeks a year, plus have time for family stuff, along with finding new places to explore and photograph, and my primary hobby, aviation archaeology, which this year meant my son and I looking for a DC-3 crash site outside Cleveland and we did an all day visit to the outskirts of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport to check out two commercial airliner crash sites north of there: http://www.flickr....72157627229262360/ From that link, see AA Flight 383 and TWA Flight 128 for the pictures of our visits to those crash sites.

Thanks! I would love to stop by, but I live in California now, I'm only in Cleveland for about two weeks a year usually in July, and maybe one week during the holiday season, maybe.
I don't do the same type of UE here where I live that I do when I'm on vacation in Cleveland. I've lived out here for over 10 years, but I'm still more familiar with Cleveland, and feel more comfortable exploring there, plus, I don't need any trouble with "the man" out here where I live, and no, I'm not on probation or parole, heh.
