I visit Cleveland fairly often as I used to live in Lorain. Next time I'm down I may drop you a line, I haven't UE'd Cleveland (or much of anything) in ages.

Never heard of it...
Actually since the topic came up, that was one of three locations I visited while on vacation this July in Cleveland. I only had three hours total to explore (including driving from location to location) so all three locations were rushed, including the "telescope factory": http://www.flickr....8/with/7702332090/
Hopefully if I have more time next year, I'd love to check out the upper floors/roof of this place.

and fyi someone lives in the telescope factory in the far southwest corner of the basement, he has power and everything haha. this was like 4 months ago though, never got to close just saw a light and heard a radio or tv and heard him coughing so we just decided to stay away.

I didn't go into the basement in that area, but there was an area in the south eastern end of the first floor that had "Do not enter or die" painted in red on a door, and I have to admit, I did go in, but cautiously. There did seem to be someone living in the area under the boiler room area on the northern end of the complex, but I didn't investigate further given I was exploring alone.
