many believe the terrell state hospital in terrell, texas was originally built on the kirkbride plan. that structure was demolished in the early 1950s from what i can gather and finding images of it has proven to be difficult - and i have never seen a post card of it...until now! before this week i only had one terrell card - the one most every collector already has which is not of the entire campus and was produced after the kirk was demolished. i stumbled across this gem and my jaw literally dropped. pretty sad little poem huh?

danvers cards are hard to come by - and when they do show up online most sellers want a hefty chunk of change for them. they typically arent as expensive as pennhurst cards but i have seen them for upwards of $75.
again - until this week i did not have a card from danvers. before this week i had never even seen this card so i was super stoked to get this for $15!!

and last but certainly not least - this is not a postcard nor is it even paper but i was damn happy to win this on ebay for a mere $13.50. from the mid 1960s and in perfect condition...

| | | | Those checks are outrageous! My only document is from BSS...some kind of patient possession retrieval document. Not important enough to even grab and scan, just has a number of lines to write in names and items. Then the lazy department is printed at the bottom proceeded by respectfully.
