|  | | | Driving around with some fellow explorers a few weeks ago yielded an awesomely successful trip for us. We found a really great industrial location in the middle of nowhere -I'll post this later- and a couple of farmhouses. This one was particularly interesting, because of the things that were laying around the property. I parked a little ways down the road, and walked past the hilariously pathetic security measure the PO strung up - a motion sensor with no wires hung on a utility pole guy wire. After the daring mission impossible style entry, we found that the place used to be a sod farm, and the property owner had three boys, for each of whom I think he bought a small personal hovercraft. I found a wall with dates and lines drawn at different heights with three different names scribbled on them, so, mystery solved. The barn on the property has collapsed some time ago, and the house, unlike quite a few other properties I have been to, has had almost all the furniture taken out. I think the property owner lives down the road now, because an older gentleman stopped by and asked me what I was doing. No trouble from him, but he did tell me to hurry up, since I was the only one taking photos.

I want to restore grumpy tractor (but preserve the damage that displays the delightful emotion) and use it as my daily driver.

I know I'm not alone when I say I can't bring myself to throw out or otherwise discard a stuffed toy animal. I always donate them.
The hovercrafts are definitely way cool, but after some thought, I realised that they're probably death traps, what with the lack of brakes.
