underground bunkers in Erfurt, Germany

With rough directions, we left Leipzig and drove a few hrs to Erfurt in search of a few bunkers from the cold war era. Finding holes in the ground in a huge forest is no small task. None the less we found 2 of the 5 bunkers that are supposed to be in that area before it was too dark and had to retreat. In all it took us 4 hrs to find the two bunkers. one was near a small bunk house, one entrance blocked by dirt, the other entrance we must have step over it 4-5 times... the second bunker was in the middle of nowhere. Just a fluke that we found it.

They were decent size, but not huge. About 4-5 large rooms in each bunker. Guess the most exciting part was to find them, and the entry. which required getting thru a small opening and going down into the unknown. unfortunately very little was left inside.

What does the unfriendly looking sign says... I know that Verboten is prohibited, I guess it's 'no entrance' but I'd like to know the rest.

There is nothing like the accomplishment of finding a semi-hidden bunker entry with very little info. Good job.
