Demolition of TS&T looming
April 5, 2012

CHESTER - Residents of Chester bothered by the crumbling site of the former TS&T Pottery may see demolition beginning at the location as soon as within the next 60 days.

Pat Ford, Executive Director of the Business Development Corporation of the Northern Panhandle (BDC), the owners of the site, said that the last step before demolition can begin is the approval of the demolition plan by the state. The plan, made by the site contractor, is currently in the state's possession.

They demo'd or caved in most of it about 3 years ago. Before that it had some decent stuff inside - lots of pottery and forms similar to what Beaver Falls China had. They cleaned it out before they started on the demo back in 2009/2010 timeframe. Now you can only really get to a couple floors because of the collapses and most of that is empty.
