| | | More amazing work. Not a secret anymore, or at least little known fact by the average person; but there was a massive underground water storage at Queen Elizabeth Park. Sadly it was destroyed. The parking lot was on top. There is another underground water storage or bunker in Vancouver though, not as well known perhaps... Will look for more info on it. It may even be what you've posted here.

ya i got an exploration planned on the water reservoir, was a pain in the ass to figure where it is. but found it. I hear rumors they might be reactivating it.... so i figure get in while you can. I plan on going... this week perhaps. perhaps we can have a little group going. [last edit 3/26/2012 3:26 AM by -Rio- - edited 1 times]

| | | went back, and dropped in. here what we found, 4 rooms on the upper floor, one lower floor were we found one hallway splitting into 2 hallways leading to two room, mirror image, 2 escape tunnels .... blocked off at the top of course, lots of rusty mud on the ground as the lower floor was flooded for years. I really need to invest in a camera that i can get a wide angle lens. I am using a canon G11, i am quite happy with it most the time, its small, portable takes great shots, but cant change the lens. any suggestion on which camera i should look at. with out going with a bulky SLR (although i really do want one)

| | | Nice photos, must better than the ones my camera came out of there with, but I'll still share a couple when I get the chance. It was a great explore and nice to meet Rio and his friend, hopefully there will be many more to come.

Awesome work, great photos, an amazing find. I've heard of a huge underground reservoir in Vancouver, not in the park. Tried searching today, but will look more and let you know if I find it. I only know the general area. Sometimes doing a panorama can work if you don't have a wide angle, but in small spaces you need one. I'd recommend the new Panasonic GX 4 Thirds camera. The size is awesome for UE or travel. Results rival a decent DSLR. |
