let's be honest here... were the good old days really the good old days when it came to cars? How many of you can remember those awful cold mornings with a stubborn carb. Pump pump pump pray twist key rrr rrr rrrr rrrrrrrrrrr pump pump pump fucking car rrr rrrrr rrrrr pump pump pump motherfucking whore piece of shit fucking start rrr rrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrr pop sputter cough cough cough sputter quits... GAH!!! PUMP PUMP PUMP PUMP rrr rrrrrrrr rrrrrrrr youfuckingwhorefuckingstarti'mlateforwork rrr rrrrrrrrr rrrrrr
and it was it this point one of two things happened... either the car started or you get the death rattle of a solenoid scraping the bottom of the battery for one last erg that was a couple of ergs short of spinning the engine over. fuel injection is far more civilized. Or better yet, those skinny bias-plky tires that shredded at high speed. Drum brakes at all four corners. There was a grand idea. Or even better better better the steering and suspension that wouldn't have been out of place on a fucking TRUCK! I saw NOW is better. (but you've kinda got me on styling... its hard to beat the 60's and very early 70's.

I remember buying a 71 chevy truck that was 7 years old for $1200 bucks, I drove the holy hell outta that truck, I could crawl in and sit next to the motor and work on it. Gas was $1.00 a gallon and for 20 bucks you could go camping for the weekend. How much is a 7 year old truck now? It's damn near what a house cost in 1976, or at least a healthy down payment on a home in '76. Shit give me the good ol' days. I was younger, better looking, and had all the girls I could handle.
