Awesome.

There's a field full of them near me (Which is odd, because I don't think they ever officially sold Citroens here in Canada.) I need to get back and photograph them/try and buy one.

Heh- I was at a rally in Quebec with a VERY German friend of mine- he actually went around the world in the 50s working for VW and training mechanics at dealerships in new countries. Anyhow, a DS pulled into the spectator parking, followed by a 2CV. Dieter shook his head and with a very strong German accent said "Look at those. Only the fucking French could think either was a good idea.".

Dieter is 85 and just bought a Honda CBR250R.

I'm a bit curious if they had a machine to change the tires on these in Europe.
The hole in the hub of the rim was too small to fit over our tire changer or wheel balancer (regarding the citroens). This was back in around 1986-7

Rim clamp type tire changer and a wheel balancer which uses the actual bolt pattern instead of the center hole.

Citroen actually built a special "DS" to test truck tires for Michelin, which had a tire machine and wheel balancer mounted inside.

It had twin Chev 350s.
