This is more of a test for uploading image from hosting site. I like the sky more than the truck but I still like the truck

'57 Chev 2 door

And '72 Super Beetle at kind of an odd property. The house looks like some serious renovations were started a few years back and then nothing happened, a few other newer cars in the driveway but all with 3 year expired plates.

I'm proud of this one as it's the oldest find to date.

Early 30's Model A

Funny to think that when that Model A was parked (going by the license plate), it was still a 33-37 year old car.

So I left a note on the Beetle and got a call back.

Well done! I went through a phase where I wanted to save every S2000 chassis Skidoo ('95 to '99). However, the nikasil plated cylinders and replacement crankshafts are very pricey. If they needed to be replaced, you typically would find yourself underwater financially so I had to stop as I was tired of the gambling.

Two questions for you Bandi:

1) Roughly how much would that one cost in it's current state?
2) How many do you own that you plan on keeping?

1) This one, being an early Super Beetle is about the second least popular Beetle out there, next to the later curved windshield models. Rough but complete restorable ones seem to be approaching $4k in Canada these days, which is absolutely insane. Ended up getting this one for basically scrap price, which was also insane because it's really not a bad little car. It was stashed in a barn from '87 to 2019, and I had it running (quite well even) the same day I got it home. Front firewall needs some rust repair, someone had used the tie rod end as a towing point, and every hydraulic part of the brakes is dust- but I'm very happy with it. Also my wife seems to have claimed it as her own. Sorry, that was really long winded.

2) Hmmm... the forever list: My '66 because it's been in the family since new, my '64 because it's slowly becoming my dream car, and my '69 because I made a promise that I'd never part with it when I bought it. And maybe my '83 because it's my birth year and they weren't sold here then.

Happy whatever the hell day it is in February of 2021. I'm 95% sure it's a 240Z, which makes me feel warm and fuzzy in my special areas.

If it isn't I'm sure one of the resident auto experts will chime in. Enjoy!!!

I agree. This property is filled with all sorts of cars, trucks, tractors and snowmobiles but the Z was the coolest for sure.

A close second though:

This really did feel like an essential trip but I may or may not have broken Ontario Covid 19 rules. Reddy the Rustang couldn't find his mask so I wore mine:

2. Does anyone remember Benny the Cab from who framed roger rabbit? The shot reminds me of the scene where he slides through the "dip" and crashes into the light stand.

This guy has been photographed before by a dude named Pistol Dave on Flickr. He has many forgotten cars in his portfolio if you're interested.

i love love LOVE finding old cars, my fathers side of my family owns a peice of land out in country in MO and there are tons of old cars that were dumped on the side of the road years ago that have sunk into the ground.

So cool to see how nature takes over them and how many animals now sleep in em!
