So..I'm new! Name's Calloway, I'm from England, and I love a bit of exploring. New to the online community - I have a tendency to just wander with friends and see what I come across. I guess I'm looking for some inspiration and a few helpful tips. And maybe to connect with some others in my neck of the woods.

Hello! I'm an 18 year old explorer from the lovely country called Belgium, that little patch of grass squeezed between France and Germany. I've explored a few things in the past (like probably everyone here has in their teenage years), but I'm planning to take on things a bit more 'seriously'. Step one: bring camera. Since discovering the online community I've been able to do a whole lot of research and scouting, but not a lot of actual exploring sadly. I've got my locations, I've got POE's, but so far, no one to go with, and I'm a bit reluctant to go alone considering the nature of the locations I look forward to explore. Outside of UE, I like rock climbing and pretty much anything labeled "outdoors". So yes, it doesn't always have to be urban! Anyway, I'd love to contribute to this community and hope to see some of you in the future!
...still I venture some place scary.
While not strictly a new member as I have had my account on here for a long time now, I have how ever never posted on here as yet. I am Pom, Ive been exploring since 2006 with a couple of years break between then and 2012. Since then I got myself a camera and actually started photographing what I do. I am a cave clan member of which my first expo with them was on RATS 2006, which in turn lead me to explore some of Melbourne's more fun things like Maze, Great Stairway, Gas Chamber, Deathstar, Pivot among other things, along with vast quantities of alcohol. (Unfortunately I never got into MPS because I was quite simply to fat to fit under the gate). For me its Drains before topsides and I am not scared of a bit of sewage if the need arises. Any how, Hi all

were you trying to say that vegas has no urbex scene as in no abandonments or no fellow explorers near you? although uer is definitly heavy on the abandonment side im way more into active sites and craning and they're ALWAYS building some new hotel or casino or something in vegas. Im sure you could easily find some awesome cranes to do. If i'm ever in your area ill hit you with a pm if you'd like.

How's everyone doing? My name is Patrick, I ran into a member up here in Ohio and he told me about the site. I would love to do some exploring in Summit, Cuyahoga, Mahoning or Stark if there is anyone else out there looking for someone to explore with. I'm new to exploring but I've always been into old abandoned structures1.

Ello! I'm a DSLR noob and I have recently found an interest in UE from my buddy and my T2i. My buddy is from Michigan and has done lots of UE with film and DSLR cameras. I enjoy decayed buildings, night traffic shots, automotive show pics and long walks on a radioactive beach. I'm looking to become a full member one day. For now I am googling my area with maps every week, looking for empty buildings. I have been on several shoots so far and it's definitely awesome. Virgina has a habit of leaving old buildings up so this is working out well for me so far. I hope to go on some group outings and meet new friends as well. until my next post....laterz.
show me your peeling paint and I will love you forever
Kyle here Interested in finding people into Exploring. I plan/dream to travel though eastern Europe and Russia in the near future. I spend a lot of time finding old mining time relics near my place and abandon buildings. Big into photography and find old abandon location fascinating both the architecture and the stories behind them.

I have explored the farmlands and barns of Wisconsin, to the ghost towns of Colorado, Nebraska, and Arizona. I hope to find more people that share my common interest of exploring and discovering the unknowns.

Hello from the north east. I wanted to introduce myself, I am fairly new to this type of photography(about a year now) so I have not gotten all the cool places under my belt as I am sure a lot of you already have. But I do try! Traditionally I started out as a military photographer, who then turned to weddings, landscapes, cityscapes and journalism. But I have learned so much and met so many great people while shooting abandonments, that I don't want to give that up. Anyway, I look forward to meeting you all and seeing your work. ~PM~

Name's Jo. From Winnipeg. I enjoy everything and anything all historic, abandoned and appreciate memories that may be left behind. Sadly because of a car crash a year ago, I have back problems. SO I cannot extensively explore places that are hard to access. But I wanted to be another voice for Winnipeg on this site, and offer some places that might not have been obvious to those who can scale a fence. (or wiggle through a window.) I'm great at remember floor plans. I also been doing photography for about 9 years now. I'm better at sketching and graphic arts, sadly. P.S. It's bunk I had to wait three days just to introduce myself.... I'm not that shy. LOL This IS a great site though. Great information shared, even the personal experience stories.

I am sorry Jo that you have to experience back problems and now can not do something that you are passionate about. I too was in that place a few years ago with my back when I took the plunge and had surgery. Best thing I could have done, but I am with you.. no scaling fences and moving through windows my body just does not move like that anymore. Anyway, I would love to see some of your work if you have some available or past experiences that you have had. Take Care- PM

Ahh Vancouver Island! I have to say that I LOVE that little spot of the world Altought I have found Vancouver itself to be a bit more modern then most places, which I thought to be a bit odd. Maybe I am wrong and just ventured into the wrong side of town.. but alas I love the location! Nice to meet you, and I look forward to seeing you around here along with some of your work. ~PM

Welcome! Belgium is an amazing little place I was there way back in 89 (yes I am dating myself) and loved the atmosphere and the history, the people.. amazing. You are lucky to have so much of that surrounding you. Oh, going alone...in my opinion is a bad thing, I went once alone and will never do it again hahaha I think I scared myself more then the others that were at the location. But on a serious note, you never know who you are going to run into, you know what I mean? Be smart is what I always say, if you get a gut feeling, its most likely right, stick with it. I look forward to seeing your work here! ~PM

Welcome to UER, and dont let the injury stop you. We have a member on here that has broken both legs, arms, both ankles, and most recently his back where he was temporally paralyzed and only recently began walking again (this all in DIFFERENT accidents mind you)... He is still exploring and even explored through the entire recovery
You can too

The Durango '95 purred away a real horrowshow - a nice, warm vibraty feeling all through your guttiwuts. And soon it was trees and dark, my brothers, with real country dark.
Hello Everyone! I'm new to the forum and a rookie to urban exploration. I love to hike, rock climbing, and adventure in the natural world and am now branching out. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of known or listed places in my area but I hope to enjoy what is here and maybe find some new places as well.
Hope for the best, plan for the worst, expect nothing.

Hi, I'm Beth....from Indianapolis, IN, but have traveled a lot of the world-Europe, Central and South America...love how small the world really is and how beautiful it truly can be. Even in the most dire of situations, there can be found something insanely beautiful. I like to take pictures...for some that might mean photography but I don't think I am there yet. I like what I like and am not looking for something artistic-just something that feels right to me. I have been on UER for a few days, lurking around at various galleries. I have always wanted to be an explorer but haven't found anyone else to go with. I usually get that LOOk like "You want to do WHAT?!" so I guess out of fear, I haven't really lived yet and am really loving living vicariously through others' explorations and galleries of photos. If anyone wants to be my "first" and have me explore with you, that would be smashing. Have passport, will travel. Keep up the good work everyone. This is an awesome site! Beth

So, I had joined up here a few years ago, was interested in UE, but honestly didn;t have the balls(or the resources) as a 15yr old kid. So, I'm back, with a bit more experience under my belt, and figured I'd stop back in. So...Howdy from Indiana!
