Hello!

I am a JMU art major concentrating in Photography and Graphic Design. I have explored in VA, WV, and PA so far. I am hoping to find other urban explorers that are close to me to join me on my expeditions. Exploring alone has its advantages (discreet, you are in control, unique images) but it also has its disadvantages (decreased security,no help in emergencies, lack of companionship). I hope to find someone of a group of someones as in to this as I am.

I like to go out at least twice a month. I pre-research places as well as just drive until I find something. I like to shoot with a Canon Rebel G-35mm camera with B&W and color film. I also shoot with my iPhone 5 and a Minolta Hi-Matic AF2.

Talk to me if you live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA!

Hi from Baltimore,
I've lived in KS, Italy, Africa, and now Baltimore, and I've done some exploring everyplace I've gone. My main interests are in the esthetics and history of these abandoned (or otherwise) places. Joining UER is my first step in accessing the online resources and groups organized around urban exploration. I can't wait to become a full member and see some of the photos and places from people's adventures. Baltimore is full of abandoned buildings, so I'll also be looking to meet up with some folks to explore. There are a million cool things to see, so might as well check them out. Thanks

Hey everyone! My name is Sam, I'm from the Bay Area California. Been a climber and love exploring so I see Urban Exploration as a new vessel of just that. Take a lot of photos / make a lot of music. I have a website I regularly update called www.purple-emu.com Currently a sophomore at CU Boulder but perhaps transferring to University of San Francisco. Thanks for your time and I look forward to contributing to this forum!

I'm Megan.
I live in KY
I have an unnatural obsession for abandoned buildings, hospitals, amusement parks, and even the simplest urban trash sprawled around in cities and rural areas. I live in a rural area full of abandonment but I haven't really found the time to explore in years due to family issues and school.
But this summer I am going to make time and fill up my flickr account with amazing photos and my life with amazing experiences.

Hey everyone,
Im 21 and have been exploring Columbia, SC with a well known explorer in this area for about a year, including a well known hospital. I've also had a chance to explore western TN as well. I am glad to be a part of the UE community and will be posting pictures from various explorations soon.

Hello everyone!

I'm Jonathan and I'm a junior in High School. I'm situated in the North Texas area, and have recently gotten into serious exploration now that I've acquired a car. My first real explore was this past Saturday, taking along a close friend, with her and I going through an abandoned house where the owner took none of his possessions when he fled about 8 years ago; all of his things were / are still there. I plan to post pictures soon. I'm glad to have finally signed up here and definitely look forward to contributing.

My name is Matt. I'm 21 and from Alberta, Canada. Like many other individuals, I enjoy taking pictures. I wish to combine my picture taking hobby with my love of adventure/exploration. I've had only a few semi-legitimate encounters with UE, and have loved every second of it. The feeling of being in a place that served a purpose which no longer exists is an awe inspiring feeling.

In terms of what I do/who I am, there's not a lot to say. I dig taking pictures, and sometimes they turn out okay. I haven't gotten the chance to snap pictures of any of my excursions, but I hope to rectify that soon. Otherwise I'm a college student hoping to eventually become a teacher. I'm an avid scuba diver. I enjoy riding my bicycle in the warmer seasons. I hate winter.

Hello all, I am Ryan, 21, and my interest in urban exploration is twofold. First, I attend UNC Charlotte as a Scenery Design student for the theatre so I hope that familiarizing myself with the aesthetics of decay will help me improve as a designer. Secondly, I am the founder of the UNC Charlotte Laser Tag Corps, a club for college buddies to run around campus playing laser tag, and many of them have been itching to leave campus. Airsoft/paintball fields will have nothing to do with us and we've looked in to a few local parks, but they are structurally boring so I'll be keeping an eye out for a good laser tag battleground. Anyone know a good place to start?

What's up UER members? You all can call me Nickodemus, I'm 30 and I live in Nova Scotia and have known about this site for awhile now but I'm looking to get a bit more active. I was in Montreal a few months ago and doing what I do every time I go there...riding the METRO and just enjoying the tunnels. Couldn't help but notice tunnels that aren't on the map and service areas at different intervals; always wanted to explore them. I have a real fascination with the underground so I hope to explore some tunnels this year. Hoping to find some vets who wouldn't mind showing an adventurous rookie some interesting sites.
Scotia doesn't have anything (as far as I know ;) when it comes to tunnels to explore. Guess I'll have settle for abandoned buildings and the like. I hope to contribute some pics at some point, participate in some events and just be part of the community. Happy hunting...

Hi guys, my name is mikos I live in Coimbra and I'm a Portuguese Urban Explorer.
I always register my expeditions on my blog http://mikoslab.blogspot.com and frequently colaborate with a Portuguese Urban Exploration Forum that's called Lugares Esquecidos(forgotten places) http://www.lugaresesquecidos.com/forum/.

Mostly I'm interested on Industrial places so you can count on that for the main theme on my posts.

Nowadays I wish to expand the reach of my work so I found this forum, i've also noticed that there is already a Portuguese fellow here.

my regards

Hello, first off let me say that im a long time lurker (about a year of lurking) and I figured might as well join up. I actually do urban explore, though I like to explore wooded areas over urban, but both are fun too! I live in Ohio, I love to hunt and shoot for fun, and also love to play video games in the mean time.

you don't have to say urban explore, sounds a bit cliche, you can just say explore.

otherwise, welcome to the forums!
