Hey there! I'm new to posting here but a long time explorer. I'm a firm believer that every location has a new story to tell each time you visit, so I like to revisit explorations many times regardless of how exciting they were the first time I visited.

I began my explorations in Massachusetts, but now that I've enlisted and will be moving about a lot, I'm certain I will be discovering a lot of new places. I'm wrapping up my training to be a combat medic here in San Antonio within the next week or so, and will be moving to my next duty station after that. My main reason for joining the site, as it may or may not be with many others, is to have quick and easy access to a database of locations close to me wherever I may end up. Exploring is, as it seems, what keeps me relatively sane.

TLDR hi I'm new here and hope to share many great experiences with this community.

Guess I should have posted here first. Hi, I'm TheMalk. Have always been interested in Urbex and have finally decided to try it out. Loving the site so far, and I've been checking the forums daily for new pics and stories. I've already got my first trip up on the South East forums so here's a link if you're interested. Thanks for having me.

Hello everyone,
I've always been fascinated with abandoned buildings, factories etc. and the history of them. I just recently began exploring a couple of months ago and I am pretty hooked. I really like to research different places and find out what they were used for and when they shut which adds to the atmosphere while inside imagining how it must how been when it was in use. It's great to see pictures and stories from others who feel the same way. By the way i'm a photography major so I will be posting pictures from my "adventures" soon. I look forward to being a part of this community.

Hello all, this is my introduction.
I quoted 'daaaaiiiiiiiii' so that I may declare one cannot/ should not try to undermine a person's religious beliefs (i am atheist, but respect and objectify unfortunate differences).

But anyways, yes I have many excellent color and b&w photos to share. I'll only share when I don't give out the exact location, and I normally refer people to my picture trove only when they demand it ought to be seen. I may change my mind about this in the future. Nice to "meet" you all, it has been a pleasure to read the forums.

Cannot or should not? Cuz those are quite a difference. It's been shown that they indeed can.

Whether they should or not really depends. If someone causes another to change their religious beliefs, were they really that strongly held in the first place?
Is there any chance that one's beliefs are hindering them or holding them down?

This is, of course, the internet. Having thick-skin is not a requirement, but it's definitely advised.

However, since 94.6% of UER are god-hating leftist bisexual heathens... trying to go against the flow here will gain you nothing but spiteful words and scorn.

I suggest if you are not fully secure in what you believe and your political slant, that you stay off the user boards "Religion" and "Politics".

???

That was a rather strange and offensive statement, sir. Nor am I the "94.6% god-hating leftist bisexual heathen" that you muse about. I am truly disturbed by your post.

You seem to be interested in what people believe. Are you interested in what I personally believe? Sure doesn't seem like it based on what you just said. However, aside from the topic of aesthetics, what I believe in is nobody's business here (unless you speak up on that topic or PM me about it).

Yeah .... you're not gonna last long.

I couldn't give a rat's ass about what you believe.
I also couldn't care less that you're offended. What I say is tongue in cheek, but that has nothing to do with you touching on the "religion" topic in your INTRO post, no matter what you believe.

If you want to point out every time your sensitivities are hurt by something someone says, it's going to be very interesting having you around.

But still, welcome to UER, all the same.

I'm sure that Therrin meant no offense. He just gets a little nervous when he meets new people.

I like your idea that no one should ever express a personal opinion until after someone else has already stated theirs, which of course, they couldn't have done until another person had already done so previously. We should make that part of the forum rules.

Uncool. I'm not feeling welcome at all by you (whoever you are) because your words towards me are just irrational and completely rude.

It's clear you have some personal issues and decided to randomly "target" me for a bickering match. I can only pray you're not in cahoots with the makers of this forum, because on the planet I'm from moderators don't act like you do.

Additionally, I have no interest in your blatant disrespect. All one has to do is read your posting history. It's terrible. It does not take long to discover you have a track record of slandering the other forum members and intentionally discrediting them… a rather condescending attitude for someone who posts here as often as you do. In my opinion, you're a nuisance to the more civil acting members who are simply holding an intelligent conversation. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.

Randomly target you? You said:
I quoted 'daaaaiiiiiiiii' so that I may declare one cannot/ should not try to undermine a person's religious beliefs (i am atheist, but respect and objectify unfortunate differences).

IN YOUR INTRO POST.
How does that make responding to you "random"? Who raised you? Didn't they ever tell you about discussing Religion and Politics around new people? Is that concept new to you?

You obviously have interest in my "blatant disrespect" but you prefer to say that you don't. If you truly didn't, you wouldn't write 3 posts about how you're offended that I don't care about what you believe, after you just HAD to make a statement saying noone should undermine the belief of another.

Fine, my belief is I DONT GIVE A DAMN WHAT YOU BELIEVE, happy? You're not allowed to undermine that belief by telling me how it offends you.

(I'm loling cuz you mention trolls under your avatar but its almost as though you don't realize that you are one, and have never met another one)

I am not associated with the moderators or owner of this site. I do not have a star that says "Moderator star". When you stalk my profile hoping to find out where I live so you can come throw rocks at me while I'm mowing my lawn, it does not say "Moderator". I'm not sure what makes you say that except to be irascible. Which you clearly have a very firm grasp on being.

You don't like what I say, but you require me to agree with you? TOUGH!
You don't get to have your cake and eat it too, what if what you're saying offends me??
But welcome to UER all the same!

Hey yah, Therrin?

Don't give me or anyone else in this forum your crack-head "rebuttals" anymore. If I were moderator, I would have systematically removed your stank ass from this forum ages ago, in the same way I would remove an insect, or a roach.

Shit son, if you were moderator, there'd be all of 40 members instead of 65,000, because you'd kick out anyone who offended your cute little sensitive feelings.

I have no tolerance for people who require others to fold to their own standards or requirements and yet will not bend to compromise with others.

If that's the way you roll, you can get fucked.

How do you "systematically remove" one person? Do you just type this shit cuz it "sounds" badass to you, even if it makes no sense at all?

**EDIT**

Oh, and welcome to UER!! - Therrin, the stank' ass roach

Heyo! Been checking out the forums for a couple years, but figured it's time to finally join. I've done some exploring in the York Region, Ontario area, and have a particular interest in historic residential buildings.

I specialize in historical research, so if anyone needs help finding out a property's history, feel free to contact me.

Looking forward to meeting other UErs in the area!
