Good evening everyone, its nearly midnight here as I draft this. "Wow, two years?" - was my thought as I just logged on tonight to continue my long-going lurker's streak. Two years ago I created this account and have been watching from the shadows envying the camaraderie between members here; and a quick glance shows me some familiar names that I continue to appreciate seeing and have surely influenced this beginning post. And so the ice has broken! I've been in the urbex community locally for 10 or so years and have generally been able to use these platforms to watch from a distance and note my observations, without ever giving much back. I've certainly learned plenty tips and tricks of the trade (or hobby) and want to continue learning and seeing what remains unseen and undocumented in these areas I either occupy here locally or visit. Looking forward to sharing my travels and knowledge through this journal, and I will likely be beginning by digging into my archives pulling out old adventures I have documented and shared among my close-knit circles. BEST WISHES sunn
Behind the quiet is a great scare waiting to happen... pity its just a barn owl! |

Hi I'm new to UER, but not to exploring. I'm located in Montreal. I have been exploring the island for now 4 years. I know this city like the back of my hand and I'm looking to expend my travels in the near future. I'm a huge fan of photography. My hobby is to take pictures of fellow explorers whilst in action. Most of my recent explorations are located in the industrial parts of the city. I'm looking for people who share the same passion for photography and exploration. PS I'm looking for friends if you wanna explore my local area, please PM me

Hello everybody, I'm from Central PA and while I'm not exactly new to Urb Ex I'm certainly not a veteran either. I tend to explore remote/rural locations, as I like my adventures to have a good mix of nature and ruins (being less likely to be chased off is also a plus). I occasionally explore alone, but I have a group of friends who I prefer to explore with, one of whom is a photographer. I have a couple locations under my belt, including one which is more of a large area with many locations within it, which I intend to continue exploring. I have no idea if any or all of my locations are on the database, but even if they are I have stuff to contribute to them. Once I get a chance to go on another expedition, I will be posting about it with pictures.

Hey all, I'm a photographer from the San Francisco Bay Area. I've dabbled in Urb Ex for quite a few years, but have yet to find that epic location. I'm always up for a new adventure, so if you're in the area please feel free to give me a shout. Looking forward to contributing here. Cheers! Here's on from my latest find, which was an abandoned elementary school down in the Southern California area.

Good evening everyone, Call me Kelnozz I currently live in Nakusp, British Columbia, Canada, I've always had a huge interest in old things and exploring spooky places. Finally decided to start posting on here and I hope to find new places to explore and maybe join up with fellow explorers. I am a 25 year old punk rocker and can actually hold a decent conversation. Nice to meet you all.

Pretty new to this. So far me and my girl have explored a big abandoned office building/warehouse, as well as a group of abandoned apartment complexes. Last week we scoped out an old water treatment facility and a hospital that we are planning to check out soon. H-Town. Will post pics soon!

Hi/salut/kwé! I grew up – so to speak - on those photocopied Infiltration zines: spent many nights reading those, vicariously pumped full of adrenaline, while I was supposed to be studying for classes. Those funny-ass, audacious tales, told like only Ninjalicious could, probably inspired and enabled my explorations more than anything else at that time. I might also be dead by now if it weren't for all the knowledge I gleaned while lurking here on the forums over the years. Merci/thanks! By way of introduction, here’s a run-of-the-mill pic from my latest solo outing at a relatively well-known local spot. Curfew be damned!
One of my most memorable discoveries was in ‘03, at the abandoned Tioxide factory (http://www.uer.ca/...ow.asp?locid=25768) an hour out of town. It's now demolished, a few people on here checked it out in time and put up some great galleries of the place!
I checked out a lot of the better-known local spots (incinerators, hospitals, tunnels), and some lesser-known ones, but there are still some absolute Temples of UE that I must check out locally, especially two (in)famous grain/malt locations. I checked for POE's a few times but those places are quite tightly-sealed; getting ever-tighter. I also got discouraged (unfortunately) by many first-hand accounts of people getting busted at the one place (really intense security for a ‘bando) or scared shitless at the other one (the only way up is by a sketchy ladder that traverses an absolute hellhole – and that’s not even the most dangerous element of the place). I’ve pussied out of going there for years... until now, before they tear down what’s left of it or it just spontaneously collapses. I want to get out of the house more and explore with some other UE’ers, for fun’s as well as safety’s sake. So I am finally signing up here to get to know the local community better. If you want to explore responsibly, together or in a small group, get in touch. À bientôt !

Hi everyone I am from Colorado Springs and have been exploring for a few years now just never made a profile here. I love the adventure and sense of thrill I get being somewhere you aren't supposed to be or otherwise. I'd love to connect with others and go on explores with them as well as my friends who partake in the hobby with me.

Brand spanking new member Seacell here! I'm a middle aged Canadian type who has been doing this sort of thing his whole life, looking to meet others with this passion and to make it easier to find and verify targets. I live in Southern Ontario. I currently do a lot of draining, but looking to get back into exploring more buildings.
