Quick stop while riding around on lunch break earlier this afternoon. A bit of Google-Fu has revealed that the entire block is due for demolition/rezoning, this one was boarded up tight, going to return soon to check up on the rest. 1.

Some valley folks will recognize this location. All POEs have been tightly boarded up, only managed to get two interior shots through a small hole in the wall. 1.

I pass by this one every morning on the way to work, left a bit earlier today so that I'd have time to drop in. Just another derelict waiting for demolition and rezoning, won't be long before 8 more homes take its place. 1.

I'm willing to bet there are quite a few of us on UER interested in chasing. In many ways, it's quite similar - at least as far as our love of adrenaline goes. It's another potentially exciting photo shoot with its own decidedly unique meteorological twist. None of these are edited, I haven't even seen all of the photos from this trip yet. These were taken in southern Kansas and northern OK near the end of May this year. Sorry for the frighteningly dirty lens on these. Everything happened so fast, I didn't have time to get the crap out of my lens and sensor prior to shooting.
by Dee Ashley, on Flickr The one below looked more ominous than it was. The really dangerous part of this storm complex was the rotating supercell about one or two miles to the right of us.
by Dee Ashley, on Flickr This was a perfect finale to our incredibly exciting chase throughout Oklahoma and our final point, here, in Kansas.

Looks like splorin season is in full swing! A very lonely old graveyard:

Sometimes a bit of patience pays off. This place was locked up tight a couple of weeks ago, just had to wait for the demolition crew to open it up for me. Note the driveway overgrowth, it's amazing how much difference a couple of weeks can make. Keep that in mind when browsing satellite view for new locations.

Found this old grain silo on the way home from work today. Any Lower Mainlanders recognize it? Would have liked to have seen the farm before it was torn down.
The grain silo is all that's left today, Street View shows a house there in 2015.

Hey guys....new member, long time lurker. Thought I'd post up a few of my recent wanderings from last weekend. I've had a life long love of street art and have been travelling for the last few years exploring cities for their art but have starting evolving into other things. It's amazing what you can find when you actually look! These are from a random drive outside the city last weekend. 1.
