After a love/hate struggle with the 5D Mark II, I decided to return to my roots and picked up a Nikon D800. Currently it's paired with the only lens I could afford after paying off the body, which is a cheap 50mm prime. But overall, I was happy with the results.

Giant legs inside the newer silo, this was one of the last photos I took before I discovered my friends car (that I had borrowed) had been broken into while shooting... bad night!

Did the guy that lives across from them come out to see what you were up to? He's a really cool older guy... came out to keep an eye on us under the guise of cleaning up his bike. I chatted him up a bit and he gave Decrepitude and I the scoop on what used to be there and what the purpose of what's left there had been.

We'd have talked to him all day, but we had a loaf of sticky bread to pick up from the hippy bakery.

What was it? I've been trying to figure it out for like an hour.

Is that snow or asbestos?

Checked out a site at lunch time. Didn't have enough time to actually explore it, but I thought this shot was pretty cool.

Although this is already in the Celtic Commune thread, this may be one of my all-time favorite shots, so I had to include it.

Your post processing technique is awesome! I'd say the 3rd and 5th are my favorites. Nice shots!

This shot was my favorite from that thread as well. The texture and tonal range on the ceiling and wood in the front are insane!
