We moved to a new home in April... We set up our home phone & internet through CenturyLink. We had used them before & never had any issues...
Well, our internet started going out ALL THE TIME... So, they come out, check the lines, change filters, everything they can think of... Still sucks... So, they tell us that we need a new modem. We get the new modem, still sucks...
This goes on for weeeeks... Finally, they come to the conclusion that we are just too far from the hub & they are going to have to drop our speed down. They do this & it still sucks, only now our phone lines are all crunchy & jacked.
This goes on for 4 months!!!
Them coming every week or 2 and changing filters a million times. Then they thought that they needed to run new lines to the jacks... So, they run a line down the front of our house, drill through the brick and leave a gaping hope (oh, they also stapled the line to the FRONT of the shutters, just to be extra classy). When they ran this new line they managed to disconnect our other jacks which we specifically asked them about & they said they would be certain NOT to do.
STILL SUCK!!!
So, now a new guy comes out, he actually takes the time to check up the pole & BAM!!! There you have it!!! Squirrels have eaten through most of the wires!!! He fixes it and we are golden!!!
But, he has to send yet another guy back to reconnect the phone jacks the last guy messed up... Eventually that guys comes along and all seems right with the universe...
Until we got our current bill!!!
Now they are trying to charge us for random service calls... NOPE, not gonna fly!!! They came in the house 2 times, once to connect the new jack which we made sure was covered & we would not have to pay for and the other time was to fix the mistake that THEIR guy made.
They are closed now (customer service that is) so I am all geared up to do battle 1st thing in the morning...
Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!

DONE!!!
It took over an hour to even get me to the "right" person... After all sorts of "Well, this is our policy..." BS they FINALLY got it all sorted. Turns out they were wrong, SHOCKER!!!
Now I am waiting for a call from a local technician to come out & fix this mess of cables they have stapled to my shutter...
