Manfrotto Carbon Fiberrrrrr Tripod- $100 (usually $200+)

So it's not a light, but it's sometimes nice to stick lights to tripods! So I'll post this here anyway.

A buddy just sent me this, and I ordered one as a backup so I can occasionally not maul my Gitzo in crappy locations, or bring a slightly taller backup than my current to stick things to.

From Aug 1-7, this is $99 (a $5 surcharge applies if not a Costco member, which I am not)

Lookit- a tripod

Here's the same thing on Amazon, which gives it a load capacity closer to 4.5lb rather than 7lb, but whatevs. Cheap light stand backup! This page is good for fuller specs.

Amazon link

I'll delete this after Aug 7th since it won't be viable anymore.

Edit: Here's the specs from Manfrotto's site... apparently it does hold 7lb!

I actually do have a Costco membership But I can't imagine ever buying a tripod. I'm not really a photog and I have no use for a stationary light. Nice looking bit of kit, though.

Where'd my oh there it is go?...damn.

That's a good deal.....you'd have a hard time buying any CF tripod regardless of the brand for $100. I don't need another one but if I did I'd be all over this.

I feel like I am in ...well... the great plains ;) Posted by willskith Unfortunately, due to overuse of tonemapping, photography was gradually ruined and now stands with halos.

I use this tripod often and it is unbelievably sturdy and lightweight. I have another Manfrotto tripod and it's almost twice as heavy. The mount on the carbon fiber model is also nice and durable. Thanks for posting

Sexy!

I already have an aluminum Manfrotto, but having just come into an unexpected $100, I call this fate and I eagerly await my new tripod. Hooray!

Thanks for the heads up!

I eagerly await mine too! I learned long ago I can't deal with lugging anything that isn't carbon fiber around, especially if bringing two tripods anywhere with me, so I figured if a few people could benefit from it, why not!

Granted this means I have to temporarily postpone purchasing my next Quark, but it'll be worth it.
