Are there any survivalist/preppers here on uer? What are your plans for when shtf? I intend to go to a small cabin where i have pre positioned a bunch of supplies and ride it out for a few weeks while i figure out what is going on. i just want to see what the people on here feel about the chance of a problem that will require us to become self sufficient

What do you guys think about abandonments as bugout locations? There is a town near me abandoned in 2004. Has water still as it is gravity fed. I did a practice bug out to get to my cabin. Didnt go as planned so now im looking for a place in between the cabin and here. I found this town.

Sounds like a good idea for a waypoint to rest for a day and resupply. Maybe bury some MREs, medical supplies, and ammo somewhere around there incase something goes wrong on the way there?

I have a few very isolated, but inhabitable and defendable places in mind. All are near clean running water, and are within 4 hours driving. I keep our family vehicle full of gas, and dont let my car get below 1/2.
